There’s a good reason that Miami, Florida is the yacht capital of the world. It has everything a boater could dream of. From warm beautiful waters and deep-sea fishing, Miami has the most vibrant, diverse boating community anywhere and dozens of islands to explore. So, wherever home may be for you, set your course for one or several of the countless boat slips for rent in Miami, and get a taste of the salt life that is the heart of the Miami culture.

With so much to do in Miami, the crew at Snag-A-Slip thought it would be a great idea to share some of our favorites.

World Class Dining and After-Hours Scene

No one will argue that relaxing on your deck beats sitting in traffic, and tossing a line over a cleat beats searching for a parking spot. The good news is that in Miami, whatever fare your appetite is looking for, you’ll find a dock-and-dine restaurant that has it. Here are a few we think are top notch:

  • Kiki on the River When you pull up to their 150-food dock, you’ll feel as if you just arrived in Greece. It’s a real Mykonos right in Miami.

  • Lido Restaurant & Bayside Grill The lido offers a beautiful, tropical outdoor setting. They feature bayside bites and locally sourced seafood and seasonal produce.
  • Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill A local institution, Shuckers has been welcoming guests for over 25 years. You can enjoy picturesque views, grilled wings and a generous variety of seafood. Sailors on the go can call ahead and order from their “Sail Away” menu. A staff member will bring your order to you at the dock – no disembarking necessary.

Rent a boat in Miami

Even if you don’t own a boat, we know how to get you on the water and enjoying all the best Miami spots and docks in the guide! Rent a boat in Miami here.

Boat Party at the Key Biscayne Sandbar

Just south of Miami you’ll find the Key Biscayne Sandbar, otherwise known as the Mashta Flats.  It’s a local hangout and destination for visitors. It’s the perfect spot to drop anchor and party. All you need is your preferred beverage, some nibbles, a few friends and your shades. Even though you’ll be excited to get there and join the fun, be sure to enjoy the sights on the way – the many luxurious homes of the ridiculously rich and famous.

South Beach

Day or night, South Beach is an exciting place to be. And there’s a very good reason it’s so often featured on Miami postcards. Between the art deco architecture, the sports cars and super models, it’s an awe-inspiring sight. But that doesn’t mean you can’t sit back and relax when you’re there. You’ll have your pick of warm sand under majestic palms, where you’ll marvel at the most epic ocean views in the country.

Deep Sea Fishing

Pack your cooler and head out for some offshore fishing along the pristine Miami shoreline. You only need to go a few miles offshore to find world-class deep-sea fishing. With a little luck, you’ll return with some praise-worthy Wahoo or King Mackerel. And many local dock-and-dine restaurants will allow you to bring your catch. They’ll clean it, cook it and serve it up. It doesn’t get any fresher than that!

Don’t Get Caught Without a Slip

Miami is a popular destination. And boat slips in the prime locations fill up fast. So, chart your course and check out the boat slips for rent in Miami. Choose one slip to be your Miami home, or book a few and really taste all that Miami boat life has to offer.
