The Annapolis Powerboat Show 2019 is right around the corner and we’re gearing up for an exciting 4 days! Is everyone ready? Here is a list of everything you definitely have to see while at the show.

Seminars

Seminars are held Friday and Saturday during the show and buoy (haha) do they have a great lineup! Here is the full list, but we want to highlight some we are excited for.

Chesapeake Bay Fishing With Captain Tom Weaver

Talk about hero worship! Join Captain Tom Weaver both days at 11:00AM to explore all aspects of fishing on our lovely estuary. Weaver is a Captain with the United States Coast Guard and a licensed guide to take people out and fish as a group. This entrepreneur, professional light-tackle fisherman will be teaching boaters and fishing finatics alike how to navigate Chesapeake Bay fishing. From time to lures and tackle, you’ll leave this seminar an expert. You can even join Weaver, Captain James Allsopp, and Captain Zach Krissoff out on the water.

Navigating the ICW

With the first full day of Fall just a little while ago for all of us in the Northern Hemisphere, we want all the details on how to boat down the ICW. Many probably aren’t headed North as the weather changes, but you can still get details on the Great Loop if you’re interested – there’s always next year! Perhaps snow birds will be flocking to Key West? Join our friend Jody Schroath from Chesapeake Bay Magazine to learn all about the cruise and what should be on your itinerary this year.

We made our own ICW cruising guide last year, and have since added a ton of great marinas along the ICW to choose from.

Boat Demos

The Annapolis Powerboat Show 2019 has special docks set up for visitors to try boats out before purchasing! This is perfect for those interested in a certain brand or model, but want a test run before committing. The docks will display new models, stabilizing systems, and outboard engines. We’ve got our eye on the Lekker Boats. Don’t tell our bosses if we sneak away from the booth to try them for ourselves!

New Products

Exhibitors from all around will be premiering new products at the show. From picture frames to magnetic coasters and new mooring systems, the show will have a bunch of new products for new boaters and enthusiasts alike! We’re particularly excited to see what Paddle North has in store with their inflatable paddle boards.

Prizes Galore!

Perhaps the best part of the whole weekend (other than seeing everyone) is the grand prizes. When you purchase tickets, you will automatically be entered to win a six day vacation to the Caribbean sponsored by MarineMax Vacations. Second place will win a Royal Hawaiian print POP Paddleboard!
