Ortega River Marina is a fantastic getaway located on the gorgeous waters of Jacksonville, Florida. The dog-friendly marina is the perfect place for a family vacation, as there is much to do without having to leave the property. The kids can splash around in the crystal clear pool while you relax under the sun in the lounge chairs on the surrounding deck. Complimentary bikes are available to cruise around the marina and the surrounding area to satisfy the explorer in you. You can then head over to the picnic area, already equipped with grills and a fire pit for the boaters to use for some yummy cooking and continued relaxation while overlooking the waters edge. If there's the dreaded rainy day, the marina also offers twin covered gazebos complete with cushioned and comfortable patio furniture.
While there is so much to do at Ortega River Marina, you also have the option of getting out and exploring the historic town of Ortega. Here you will find lots of fun shopping, a variety of restaurants with delicious cuisine. You can take advantage of the stocked grocery store and fully stock up your boat before heading out for more cruising.

Nice marina with a pool, restrooms and laundry. Get that Publix and West Marine are just a 1/2 mileage walk away. The staff is great and ready to help out with keep you comfortable. Although, they do not have 50 amp plugs at all slips.

This is a great find. We chose this marina because the Marina at Ortega Landing was not taking transients because of Covid. It was a good choice.
We asked for a slip close to the dock because I had a medical issue with my leg and it was painful to walk. Not only did we get the closest slip to land, but Paul drove us to the emergency room.
The docks are floating concrete, the heads and showers are nearly new and very clean. Their is a nice small pool and a picnic area.
Publix, CVS and several restaurants and other services are a short walk away. We both got haircuts and our nails done.
All the staff and the other boaters were very friendly and helpful.
This place is a gem.

Jim was the dockmaster when we arrived. He met us at our slip and helped us dock. Very helpful and corteous. Marina was great. Didn't get to use the pool but there was one. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry rooms must have recently been redone because they were very clean and looked new. Easy walking to groceries and west marine.

We enjoyed staying in this marina for two months. Publix, West Marine and restaurants are within a few blocks, as well as public bus stops. Paul, the dock master is great to work with, and the facilities are nice and clean.

While traveling around the loop (we are on our second time around) this marina is in my top 10. As the Jacksonville bridge was broken, and we were trapped, the Dock Master split our week stay. In other words, we stayed 3 nights then, did a side trip "up river, down south." Upon our return in 8 days, we were placed in the same slip for another 4 nights, all for a week price. Very good. Close to shopping, West Marine, restaurants and rent cars. Again, this is a great marina if one wants to visit Jacksonville, FL.

We pulled in for a day or two and stayed a year. Paul was friendly and helpful. Close to everything and easy to rent a car. Marina was quiet and clean. Would go back again.
