We initially enjoyed our visit. Office was responsive and dock-hands were available to help us tie up. Office staff was friendly after arrival. Pool did not seem heated but it was hot enough out that it felt ok. Some bugs floating on the surface and could have used a skimming. Disappointed that there are no hot showers for marina guests, but this is stated on the Waterways guide, so no surprise. The reason for the low stars is the attitude towards guests with dogs. I was told by the security person that my dog needed to do her business off the property, which requires a walk of a block or two. Was told "there are signs and this was in the agreement you signed". I told them I can't control when she goes and I always pick up after her (which I absolutely do). Then, I was told I didn't take a direct enough route off the property. This is a property I have never been to before so I asked for a map. This was scoffed at. Apparently I took too long to read the signage on my way out, which I was doing to see if there was something posted in front of the office. None of these signs can be seen from the docks or on trying to exit the property. The two I could find on re-examining the property are at the entrance (mailbox and entry sign) and I would not have assumed they applied to a paying guest ("No dog walking. Private property"). DO NOT stay here if you have a dog.
