Dockside Marina is ideally located in the heart of Solomons Island. Boaters will love that shops, restaurants and tourism sites are all within walking distance of the marina. Even better, the Calvert Marine Museum, which hosts the popular waterside concert series, and the famous Solomons Island Tiki Bar, are right down the street! Solomons is a picturesque island town and boaters should take advantage of this marina to see it all! We encourage boaters at Dockside Marina to head out and see the Drum Point Lighthouse, before strolling the boardwalk and browsing the town. Head back to the marina for a quick shower, and then walk to numerous restaurants, bars and the Tiki Bar. Location is everything here! This marina is open year round.

Special Note: Visitors to Dockside Marina will need to be able to tie themselves up. The docks are located behind The Island Hideaway Marina.

Although Snag-a-Slip lists Dockside Marina, it's not there! We cruised around for almost an hour trying to find it. What a waste of time. None of the other marinas knew about it, although one person said that it hasn't been around for 40 years.
A Note from the Marina:We appreciate that this customer booked with Dockside Marina in Solomons, and are disappointed they were unable to locate the marina. When they booked, the customer was advised they would need to be able to tie themselves up as no assistance would be available for their stay. The docks are located behind The Island Hideaway restaurant. We have worked with Snag-A-Slip to improve our pre-arrival details for future visitors, and provided this boater a refund as they were unable to stay.

Great location, close to harbor entrance and it is next a to a restaurant, but it’s more of a dock than a “marina”. No bathrooms and only 50amp plugs. I needed 30amps and had to run an extension to another dock. Most locals have never heard of “Dockside Marina” including the manager of the Solomons Yacht Club which is right next door! I only needed an overnight so it wasn’t a big deal but others may want more amenities if staying longer.

Unfortunately we were unable to use the slip this past weekend as planned, but great communication with Mr. Simpson and we will be able to use in the future.
