Snag-A-Slip called 2 days prior to ask for the marina, "Do you need fuel?" But also said it didn't matter either way. Marina called one day prior to ask "do you need fuel?" I said no, that's when he got upset and said "We can't hold the slip for someone who is not buying fuel". I said we could maybe take 100 gallons. He said "I'm not going to have a fuel truck come in for 100 gallons. I said OK, I'll call you in the morning to see if the slip is available. I called in the morning and now he was nice and said we had a slip. On approach about 12:30, called on the phone as instructed and was told where the slip was. When I asked if there would be someone to help us dock he said "We don't come in until 4:00". We tried to get in the slip twice with the raging current. We decided there were enough red flags so we called Sunset Marina, docked and had a nice experience there. I never gave anyone a 1 star before.
