Great spot. Docks are next to new, and power and water are great. The location is perfect for an overnight stay. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Just wish they had a locking gate. A lot of homeless under the bridge at night. No issues on the dock but a gate with a code would have eased my wife’s mind.

A good place to stop for a night or two to rest or for fuel and/or pump out. Great Farmer's Market on weekend. We missed it this last trip because we arrived on a Sunday or Monday but it is one of the largest and best FM we've been. FYI, most everything is closed until either Wednesday or Thursday. We enjoyed walking downtown seeing all the historical buildings until it started raining again! .

We called the night before to ask what time the fuel dock opened. We were told 8:00. When my captain called the next morning at 8:00 a.m. to find out if they would be opening soon the response he received was atrocious. I have screenshots of the conversation if you'd like to see them. The person who is supposed to open the fuel dock at 8:00 told us to go somewhere else and get fuel and not to come back to the Troy dock. I have two hired captains on my boat, one of them is a master captain, and they've already put the word out to the other captains to avoid this dock. I would be happy to chat with you about our interactions with them if you like. I will be sending copies of the screenshots and a summation of the conversation to the Troy Marina management.

Good dock master. Side tie on the river was ok, but occasional wakes from inconsiderate boaters. Also, Troy has serious high crime. And a boat came in and the dockmaster squeezed it ahead of us (way too tight) and my anchor hit his dinghy. Not comfortable. Will not go back. Waterford a MUCH better place

Dockmaster John was very helpful in getting us secured. Docks and electrical in great shape, very convenient to several restaurants and bars. Restrooms are clean. They are actually in a trailer parked nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location, nice new docks! We stayed 3 days. With high water there was a pretty good current, and lots of sticks, logs, and debris in the water, however the natural current kept these away from the docks and boats. Facilities are in a trailer on the wall above the docks. Clean and Air-conditioned. Lots of great restaurants to choose from. Saturday morning Farmers Market is a short walk away and is AMAZING. One of the largest we've seen! Tom and the rest of the dock hands were very helpful and friendly. Two suggestions: 1) Fix the pump-out. 2) Adjust the price of fuel to market conditions.

Wow, Troy has really changed. We had a great stay at the Downtown Marina. It’s very small so I’m glad we booked ahead. There was a nice, waterfront walk and many good restaurants to choose from. Everything we wanted was within walking distance. We will be back!

The marina is a floating face dock on the Hudson River LDB just above the Federal Street Bridge. The depth is 19' MLW, the docks are floating (6' tide even this far up) and they are new. The power pedestals (with water) are also in good shape. The dockmaster and his assistant made a point of meeting us on the dock to assist us and give us useful local information. There is fuel and pump out available at the north end of the dock. The marina is "bare bones. The bathrooms are up on the promenade in a trailer. There is no laundry. There is a gate to the dock but it remained open at night. The docks were well illuminated. There is not marina Wi-Fi. The dock was full with 7 40-50' foot boats tied up. The Federal Lock is about a mile upstream. Reservations are made through Snag-a-Slip.

We came in on Friday for the Saturday Farmer's Market which has quite the reputation. There was no problem delaying our departure until after noon. The market is held just south of the Federal Street Bridge and just off the river. The area that the market is held in is filled with interesting stores and restaurants that, under other circumstances, we would love to spend time browsing. There is a large selection of restaurants within a half mile of the dock. We had an excellent meal at Dinosaur Bar-b-que on the river. The location, the service we received, the Farmer's Market all contribute to the 4 star rating that we feel is justified for this marina.

Stayed for 2 nights. Reasonable price and convenient to town with good BBQ and a new Venezuelan restaurant that has delicious empanadas and arepas. Town is making a comeback from years past. Tom, the dock master way great and was very helpful.

We've stayed there in the past and really like the newer floating dock and the dock's close proximity to many nice restaurants, hardware store, great bakery and other shops. The "truck trailer" bathroom/showers were clean but had a very strange smell this time - kind of like burning trash. And during both stays we've woken up to find a lot of woody debris (even large water-logged logs) trapped between our bow and the dock, but we know the marina staff has no control over that.

Called several times with no answer left messages asking about fuel etc. We got there about 5! Supposed to be a dock master on duty with slip assignment till 7. No one around. Really needed fuel and wanted showers too. None avail...a waste of $74. Feel like I should be reimbursed at least half since I got 1/2 of services. We travel all over by boat...very poor customer service. Sorry the only highlight was Dinosaur BBQ.

Location, amazing. Service from Dockmaster, very good, great guy. First night we arrived, our reserved space was not available (and we arrived early) Per dockmaster they were overbooked due to canal opening day….so we were put on south day dock, without power or water. Several boats came after us and were put there, some were not charged as it was the day dock… We moved early next day to the dock with power and water and had a great stay. We helped move several boats after hours as another boat showed up, with reservations and no space on the dock. So we helped creating space. These things can happen, but as it was 35 degrees, we would have liked to put our heat on without a generator (as we paid for the electricity)

Brent, the dockmaster who has taken over is a gem! He was extremely accommodating considering it was opening day for the Erie. He called the city to make sure the electric was turned on and also the water was working. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Southside Slice restaurant is also fantastic. Great Brick fired pizza and the wings were great! See you again for sure :)

High quality docks, part of a recent riverfront restoration, easy to approach and leave. Power was good, but water was out due to a hose breakage. Only one dockmaster present, but he was very helpful with local knowledge. Only negative was lack of security, being right on the downtown waterfront. Toilets and showers (clean) were in a trailer adjacent to the docks.

Was a little confusing about the number of slips available. I contacted several of our boating friends down the Hudson and asked them to join us but your web site showed you were booked up. There was only 4 boats there - could have fit a lot more but nobody wanted to take the chance and motor up to us. Dock master had us pull tight together because he said the docks would be filled up. I’m sure he depended on what the web site showed. Just my opinion but you should lower your price per foot for a little while to encourage boaters to stay at Troy. Waterford harbor is much cheaper and security isn’t an issue. Word is they feel unsafe at Troy. Gate is opened 24/7. The overnight slips are well lite but the day dock is very dark and people where hanging out there after dark. We would have stayed another night but headed down river to meet up with friends who would have come to Troy if the web site was up to date. Hope this helps.

This is far and away the most over priced town dock wall of any we have ever stayed at, bar none. Two and half times as much as other comparable docks/marinas. On top of that, you can’t even stay there unless you have first booked a spot with a website, that no one one makes you aware of until you’re actually there. The town is very nice, the facilities are excellent, but so are many other sites, and FAR less expensive. The dock master was very friendly and nice but said his hands were completely tied by the town itself. Troy, you’re killing yourself, maybe why we were the only boat there and the wall just up river was packed. Just guessing.

The instructions I received with my confirmation instructed me to contact Troy Marina by VHF or phone. It also said they were open until 7 pm. I arrived at 5 pm and tried to contact the marina on VHF. I did not get a response. I then called the phone number on the confirmation and got a recording saying the number was not in service. I docked at the marina and walked to the dock masters office which was closed, it did have a sign with a different phone number, I called that number and and a recording informed me that the voicemail box was full and unable to take a message. I had arrived in need of fuel, pump-out, and a shower (desperate on the shower) I did not get any of these. I will add that the city of Troy did a nice job on the recent renovation of the marina, every thing was clean and new. I left early the next morning and never saw anyone from the marina.

Dockmaster (Don) starts off pretty formal, but becomes warm and friendly very quickly. The tone with the other boaters on these floating docks is also a welcoming and immediate. In some respects this is a fabulous area. You're just a short walk 5 to 10 minutes, from all kinds of wonderful coffee places, bars, pubs and restaurants and of course the incredible Victorian Beauty of downtown Troy. Amenities like groceries, liquor and a laundromat are little farther afield. There's the added difficulty of getting change in quarters for a 5 cuz there's really no where set up to do that. As luck would have it, City Hall is only a 2 minute walk from the docks, and a friendly person there arranged the mother load of quarters, from the cities parking meter collection office! We loved Troy, New York, and have vowed to return and explore it further. Restaurants of note include Bacchus for pizza, and Dinosaur BBQ which is basically at the top of the ramp from your dock! Just follow your nose...

I’m pretty sure that Matt than dockmaster is Jimmy Buffett in retirement. He was awesome. Met us at the dock when we got there and provided lots of local information. The dock is brand new and clean. The area is safe and the bathrooms are great. Definitely worth a stop. Tons of local restaurants and coffee shops in the area with plenty to do. Brand new marina!

We took a chance on this marina. It is worth the stop. The new docks are well built and offer good power and water. There is now Wifi. The dock master was great with docking assistance and offering information about the town. The area has been updated, lots of local restaurants easlily accessible. I was surprised at the tide this far up the Hudson. It is located just below the first lock on the Hudson. Ships and barges pass by, interesting to watch and listen to them. Plenty of depth dockside.

We didn't stay here because it wasn't time to stop yet but I definitely would in the future! BRAND new docks along the city wall with great electric and diesel. Super barbeque restaurant at the top of the ramp. Very pleasant folks who work here. If you don't stay the night, it's a great place to fuel up before you start the Erie or continue up to Lake Champlain.
