Thamesport Marina Is In the Heart of It All

No matter what part of the world your cruise originates from, the newly renovated Thamesport Marina is the perfect place to dock while visiting New England. Thamesport Marina provides a premier location on the Long Island Sound, nestled in the heart of New London, Connecticut between Mystic, Fishers Island, Greenport, and Essex. The marina's location couldn't be better in regards to great cruising opportunities as well as amenities and endless views of the gorgeous harbor. On site, you'll have access to private restroom and showering facilities, as well as ample parking for those arriving by car. If you need to fuel up before you leave, you can do that too! Thamesport Marina was recently awarded as the 2019 Valvtect Marina of the Year!

On either side of the marina are two fantastic restaurants, On The Waterfront and Fred's Shanty. Both places offer menus full of delicious New England seafood dishes and tasty cocktail options. If you want to get out and explore the town a little bit, there are other great eateries a quick ride away. You will also find local grocery markets, convenient stores and more. There are quite of few parks nearby as well, perfect for a relaxing walk around New London. Thamesport Marina is a truly relaxing weekend getaway!

Cancellation Policy: This marina has a 48 hour cancellation policy for transient guests on regular days, and a 72 hour cancellation policy for all special events and holidays. Special events and holidays include, but aren't limited to, Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th, Labor Day Weekend, etc. There will be no exceptions for cancellations inside of these periods due to weather or boat issues. Cancellations made less than the required advance period are eligible for a credit towards a future stay at this marina, at the discretion of the dockmaster on site. Please contact Snag-A-Slip or the marina at least 72 hours prior to your stay to receive a full refund.

Nice location and friendly staff. The fixed docks can be a challenge, especially considering the substantial boat and ferry wakes during the day. Clam shack and restaurant are at the top of the docks.

The Marina is at a very convenient location, well equipped and well maintained. Owen was extremely helpful in helping me prepare the trip. During our stay, he often went out of his way to make sure we got what we needed and even helped dock our boat. We highly recommend this marina and certainly plan to back next year!
