We initially had a good experience, but it quickly turned into one of the worst customer service situations we've ever dealt with. We hired Harry's to store our boat and install new engines so we could sell it. Before the sale, they agreed to continue working on the boat for the new owner to handle some final adjustments. However, after the buyer drove four hours to complete the purchase, Harry Sr. abruptly refused to do any further work, saying they had simply "changed their minds." This left the new owner stranded and forced us to scramble to find another mechanic on short notice. The situation escalated further on launch day. Harry's refused to release the boat because our engine installation bill hadn't been paid yet, even though ownership had already transferred. When I questioned the charges, which were significantly higher than expected, they refused to discuss it and instead yelled at me over the phone. I was told to pay in full or the boat wouldn't be released, leaving us no real choice. I called to make the credit card payment over the phone and even though we had always paid by credit card, they refused to accept it and said we had to bring cash. We would have to transfer money into our checking account from an outside account, which would keep the new owner from taking his boat for 3-5 business days. I finally got him to take my card number, but then the new owner of the boat said they still wouldn't use it. They are refusing to take our cc payment now. I have recordings of our phone calls if needed. The entire experience became unnecessarily stressful and unprofessional, especially for a business dealing directly with customers during major transactions. We ended up having to bring cash to the marina and pay the overcharged bill so the new owner of the boat could launch and take it to New York. We would not recommend anyone do business here. They are rude and will overcharge as they see fit.

Nothing fancy here but the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Showers were basic but clean and they have every part you might need in the shop.

We came into Harry’s for night to get protection from forecasted summer storms. They don’t have a lot of big slips, but two employees, who knew exactly what they were doing met us at the gas dock, and helped us tie up there. At $2 / foot, it’s a New England bargain. Not fancy, but docks in good repair, and private showers are clean. They even had disposable shower mats to step out onto. We walked up the hill (0.1 mile) to Edd’s Place for a delicious well priced lunch over looking a peaceful backwater.
Snag It.
