Tropical Paradise at Mandarin Holiday Marina

Mandarin Holiday Marina is a fantastic facility with just about every amenity that a boater could want and more. Located in Mandarin, Florida in the southernmost portion of Jacksonville, you will find yourself nestled on the eastern banks of the St. Johns River. This beautiful area known for its breathtaking sunsets was once called "a tropical paradise" by the famous author, Harriet Beecher Stowe. The marina has both a restaurant and snack shop onsite, perfect for grabbing a bite without having to venture far. if you're feeling like getting a little extra cardio, additional restaurants, bars, shopping and groceries are nearby, allowing you to explore the area with pit stops along your way. Fresh bath and shower facilities will be waiting for you at the marina when you get back.

Not only does Mandarin Holiday Marina offer top-notch self-serve amenities, they are also a full-service marina that can accommodate all of your boats service and repair needs. Staffed by friendly and highly experienced service technicians, your boat will be in great hands while it gets the tune-up that you've been putting off for so long. These services include haul-out up to 15 ton with travel lift, bottom cleaning and painting and motor repairs and services. A fuel dock with both gas and diesel is available for your convenience as well as a pump-out station.

Was unable to raise on radio, but answered the phone.

Fuel dock is between the east dock and the bridge, right at the travel lift.

We stopped here for diesel fuel. We backed into the fuel dock and the attendant gave us the nozzle. Then he found the pump didn't work. After calling several different people over to try to repair it, they told us they couldn't fix it and would have to call in outside help.

We left and headed for Doctor's Lake Marina. On a hunch we called them on the phone and their pumps were down as well.

We called back to Mandarin Holiday Marina to ask about other places to buy diesel and they suggested that we come back as they had people on the way to fix the pumps.

We did and after we docked we walked to the nearby restaurant for lunch.

To make a long story short, it was 4:00 PM by the time the pump was fixed. We got our fuel and asked if we could spend the night. They offered us a slip with power for free and we took it. We thought that was pretty nice.

The marina itself seems to be more for locals and a few liveaboards. It's a bit run down and there are no showers, but everyone we met was extremely nice and helpful. This is also a boatyard and they were bottom painting boats.

There is also a grocery store and more restaurants within a short walk.
