This was our third extended stay at Cambridge Yacht Basin. We really enjoy being at a great marina in a small town setting. Scott, Perry and Mike are without question the best marina team we've encountered. They will bend over backwards to ensure your stay is flawless. We are always impressed with the continuous upgrades they make to the facilities. We look forward to our spring trip on the Chesapeake Bay and another long stay at Cambridge Yacht Basin.

We planned our stay at Cambridge last minute however the crew accommodated us without fail. Mike met us at the dock and made docking a breeze and then gave us a wealth of local knowledge. One hiccup however was the Marina is still on Dockwa so we put in a request there first and it was not until we called the Marina and they directed us to Snag-a-Slip

We had a great stay in a slip along the seawall next to the bath and laundry. Be sure to stop for breakfast at "Overfill" at the corner of Academy and Muir. Good food, great prices, all volunteer staff - and you are helping the community.

Had a great week at marina. Nice clean bathrooms fixed piers in good shape good shore power and air tv. Dock master Scott and assistant Perry extremely helpful and friendly. Strongly recommend staying here. Try to avoid Monday/Tuesday as town is pretty much shut down. But still some good restaurants are open Monday and Tuesday.

Helpful, knowledgeable people, Perry and Mike were great. This is a city dock fixed height so some of the issues are out of the control of Oasis Marina management. Great nighttime lighting which is a big thing for us since we walk our dog before heading to bed. Bathrooms were clean, park area around the Marina was very nice. The ducks totally covered our dock in poo, that's really our only complaint. The town is lovely and friendly, but greatly in need of a true ice cream shop.

The dock personnel were excellent at helping us secure our boat. The grounds are well maintained and the marina is within walking distance to town. We did not use the bath house because it was so far from us at the D dock bulkhead. Our colleague grounded at the intersection of the fairway and D dock.

Negatives about our stay at Cambridge Yacht Basin: 1. Refusal to let us know our slip assignment and slip details before we arrived so we could plan our docking strategy. Even when hailing on the radio approaching the marina this information was refused. We were only told the slip assignment when inside the basin. 2, We were finally assigned slip G4 and did not find out until after docking there that the finger piers for G docks (and others also) are extremely short. On the radio I had said I wanted to dock bow-in because I do not have a bow thruster and our full-keel sailboat does not steer well in reverse. The dockmaster did not alert us to the fact that the docks have such short finger piers that require docking stern-in to have safe access for getting off the boat, so I went in bow first and only then found the problem with the short finger pier. The finger piers are also very narrow and require great care not to fall off. 3. We were not given an information package by the dockhand on arrival, so had no access to wifi or the bathrooms. We were also not directed to an office was where we might get such information. The Dock Masters office shown on the marina slip plan on the website was unmanned. The welcome bag arrived much later by someone on a bicycle. 5. Disappointing to find a marine of this size does not have a swimming pool. 6. Disappointing that all docks in the marina are fixed and not floating as increasingly found at high quality marinas. It would be very helpful if more information about the dock arrangements can be provided on the marine website, to avoid surprises for new arrivals as mentioned above. Our experience at Cambridge was certainly much less enjoyable than many other marinas on the Chesapeake Bay.

This was our second time here and we love it. Nothing fancy but very well run and well kept. Nice large tree covered grassy area along the marina and very close to downtown with lots of restaurants, cafes and some shops. Dockhands were great. Bathhouse is always sparkling clean. We were the Prince William Yacht Club from northern Va, 6 boats arrived midday on a Thursday for one night. Friendly dock staff on deck to fuel and get us all tied up on the same dock. Very helpful briefing on the town attractions and restaurants and a courtesy bag with local brochures and info. Good Wifi. Bit of a hike to the Heads/Showers, but clean. Ice available. I needed a trip to a hardware store and Mike drove me. No Pool. Visited a newer restaurant "High Spot" 2nd closest for dinner and they seated our party of 9. Great service and price. Wide and varied menu.

They were readily available on channel 68 during our stay, which we extended due to gale force winds arriving shortly after we did. This was our second stay at Cambridge Yacht Basin. Last year we were there for 10 days. We returned for a five week visit this year. We love Cambridge! The yacht basin staff are so welcoming and attentive to our needs. Scott, Perry and Mike are top drawer. Often they would deliver our mail to our boat. The facilities are maintained to perfection. And, there is a great Italian restaurant in walking distance. We're already planning our next stay at Cambridge Yacht Basin.

For the price/ft, this is a wonderful marina. The staff are very friendly, skilled dock hands and helpful. It's a short walk into town with plenty to do and see. The bathroom and shower facilities are clean and more than adequate. We'll be back. There is no pool or bicycles that we are aware of. If you feel you need them remember the price.

Everyone was very helpful. On arrival, I called in and spoke to Mike. He and the Marina team were there to help me tie up the boat. They explained the attractions as well the restaurants around the area and also recommended some good places to eat. On departure, they were very helpful in tying up the boat on the fuel dock. The approach to the marina is a little hairy, but the dock hens were excellent and quite accommodating. There is no security on the docs, and sometimes in the late evening that was a little concerning with people walking around. There are no amenities such as laundry, facilities, a boaters lounge. And the restrooms are a pretty good walk from the marina. Downtown is nice with a lot to offer and we enjoy the restaurants and shopping.

We'd like to thank this boater for staying with Cambridge Yacht Basin over Memorial Day Weekend and for taking the time to leave a review. Our marina does have security and we do provide amenities such as laundry, restrooms, a boaters Lounge, ice, bikes, and grills. All of these are all located at the Dockmaster's Office, next to G-Dock. We speak with all boaters on arrival, or ahead of arrival if they are arriving after hours, to ensure we point out all of our amenities and their location. We'll also work with Snag-A-Slip to ensure these are highlighted more prominently in pre-arrival emails that boaters receive. Cambridge, MD, is a wonderful small town and the welcome at the Marina was top notch. Those who are “busy” should know that, although on the East side of the Bay, Cambridge is well connected to DC. Use a cab or the shuttle on the way out, and Uber on the way in.

We had a great stay at CMYB. We needed some respite from the extreme heat on the cloudy days our solar couldn't keep up. We were able to sort our generator while there so we can now be more self sustainable. We enjoyed the quaint town with the shops and variety of restaurants. Also the boat house was very clean and well maintained. Only wish we stayed long enough to check out the farmers market near by. Thank you to Perry for the verbal tour before we went exploring on our own.

Service was great. Location by town is excellent. Only issue was insufficient power for my boat. I need the (2) 50a and getting that with consistent voltage was a challenge. We moved the boat to a second slip, but still did not work well. Ended up having to run the generator all night. I would like to go back, but will call ahead to confirm power.

Nice dock and staff. A lot of sailboats. Gas and pump out on site. Plentiful parking. Local restaurants within walking distance. Rt 50 is about a mile away with all chain stores and restaurants.

Excellent service. Very clean and tidy. Very well protected deep water marina. My boat draws 5 feet, and we were placed in the extreme corner along the bulkhead (G dock) and still had 8 feet at low tide. Easy walking access within 10 minutes to all of the historic downtown area, including multiple choices for restaurants and shops. Very tidy bath house, laundry room and bathrooms on the bulkhead at G dock. No pool, but that is not why we visit marinas, so that is not a negative for us. Marina is bordered by a large public park with huge grassy areas for kids or dogs to play. Immediately adjacent to the Cambridge Yacht Club, with its modest clubhouse if you have reciprocal privileges with your local club…We did not visit the yacht club, so I have no assessment there. The yacht club and the marina are unrelated. There were no negatives that led to the four star rating. I just rarely five stars, since it would have to be truly perfect in all respects. Fixed docks and ~2 foot tides.

Perry and Scott were my heroes. Had new transducers installed recently, I guess my sea trial was at their location. Arrived at the slip by having Perry guide me through the marina. As we were tying up the automatic bilge switch was working overtime, water being pumped from the rear bilge. Great, she was bone dry prior to splashing for her maiden launch - I knew that something was wrong. Water penetrating the boat through the transducer. Hence my sea trial at Cambridge Yacht Basin was blessed by having competent people available. Thank you Scott and Perry for not allowing my boat to sink. God Bless

Great Oasis Marina and staff! We stayed eight nights at Cambridge Yacht Basin. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. We cannot say enough nice things about Scott, Perry and Mike. Perry’s personal touch and enthusiasm for the marina and Cambridge is over the top. Perry gave us the run down on everything in Cambridge from eateries, churches, and where to reprovision. He is a superb ambassador for the city. Perry delivered an engine part that arrived early (0700) to my boat so I could correct a problem even though his workday starts at 0900. Scott is the dockmaster. He is easy going and a wealth of knowledge on the marina and local waters. We met people at church on Sunday and then ran into them later on the street and immediately struck up conversations. Everyone we met in stores and eateries were very welcoming and friendly. We will return and plan to spend a month at Cambridge Yacht Basin.

Referred us to the local 4th generation market - Simmons. They delivered us with our grocery supplies to the Marina. Both he, Perry & all at Simmons very welcoming! While the location of the marina is great and the transient dock fee very reasonable, the dockmaster is one of the most arrogant and rude persons we have ever met in our sailing travels for many years all over the world. From the moment we hailed him on the radio about our arrival to bringing our boat into the slip, he was condescending and rude. He insisted that he, and only he, knows how to dock our sailboat and proceeded to shout at us when we did not "comply" with his wants. He in fact was not able to articulate or be clear with what he was trying to "make" us do. We politely told him that we did not appreciate his attitude and being shouted at and were very capable to tie our mooring lines off. His assistant had a similar attitude to the sailboat that took the slip next to us shortly after we arrived. Later on he chose to avoid us by making a wide detour around us when we were walking on the path - obviously very embarrassed & ashamed of his behavior. Really quite childish!

We want to thank these boaters for staying with Cambridge Yacht Basin - we are glad they enjoyed our central location in downtown Cambridge! We apologize for any miscommunication between our team and these boaters. Our staff is trained to provide specific instructions to all boaters upon arrival to the marina in order to provide for a safe arrival experience and to secure vessels appropriately. We did have to ask that these boaters move their lines, as they were a tripping hazard to these boaters and others when tied across the finger pier. We raised our voices when advised that one of the boaters on board was hard of hearing. We pride ourselves on being attentive and helpful to all boaters, and are sorry to have missed the mark on this visit. We hope to welcome these boaters back to our marina in the future for a remarkable experience.

My expectations for service and conditions were exceeded! The Dockmaster assisted me with docking upon arrival and the shower facilities were perhaps the cleanest I have ever used. There is much to see and do in Cambridge.
