We arrived mid afternoon. There wasn’t a single person anywhere. No help with docking in high wind, not even another boat at the dock. The docks are severely splintered and missing vital structural integrity. There was a marina sign advertising a restaurant and bar but nobody anywhere. We walked across an airstrip and down about a half mile to a beach bar. The next morning a gentleman arrived and asked for more money than the app charged us for. We paid it, not wanting any trouble. There were some locals roaming around and it made us uncomfortable because we had 3 young children on board. They were definitely checking us out. We left asap.
Snag-A-Slip reached out to the marina manager for further comment. The marina acknowledged receipt of the review, but did not provide a reply to post. The marina did advise the additional cost collected onsite was due to a pricing issue that has since been resolved.

Roosevelt Nixon was a wonderful host. We had drinks and dinner in the restaurant bar that he built himself. The curry was awesome and the mac and cheese too. He told us the history of Little Farmers, as he is the fifth generation of the Nixon’s to live there. Places and people like this make the Bahamas the amazing destination that it is. We were here in 2002 and have thought about returning ever since. Love it.

Upon arrival you and greeted with welcoming smiles. The marina is very small with fixed docks. It has both power and water. The people at Little Farmers are wonderful. They helped us tie up, they gave us directions to the attractions on the Little Farmers and neighboring cays. The restaurant is very nice with reasonable prices, friendly service and good food. It has a bar, a pool table and small gift shop. We will be back.
