Located along Florida’s celebrated Treasure Coast, north of Palm Beach and south of Vero Beach, the town of Stuart, Florida doesn’t have the name recognition of some of its neighbors. And that’s a good thing for boaters! It’s a gem of a destination where boaters can enjoy the beauty and culture of the East Coast without the crowds. It’s also home to one of the premier marinas in the area, the Marriott Hutchinson Island Marina.

Marriott Hutchinson Island Marina – Not Your Average Marina

At the Marriott Hutchinson Island Marina, boating, fishing, long stretches of beach, and water fun await you. Located on a 200 acre, perfectly landscaped resort, it’s the place to dock if you want relaxation and pampering, but don’t want to give up everything the Florida coast has to offer. Marina guests have full access to all facilities and amenities at the resort. Including the beach, water sports, pool, an 18-hole golf course, 13 tennis courts, a fitness center, spa and daily events for kids and adults alike, you’ll be sure to find something.

The meticulously maintained marina offers 80 boat slips that can accommodate most boating requirements including water, 1×30 or 2×50 power, cable TV, and WIFI. Best of all, their friendly and experienced staff is ready to cater to you, your crew and your boat.

Stuart, Florida – The Not-So-Sleepy Island Town

The quaint town of Stuart is nestled on a quiet barrier island where boaters come to relax and unwind. Plus, you’ll still enjoy the luxury and high-energy of South Florida – just 40 miles south on the Intracoastal. It’s also an angler’s dream, known as ‘The Sailfish Capital of the World’. But don’t let this small town fool you. It has a boat load to offer.

Explore Downtown

You can start by hopping on the Downtown Stuart Tram. It’s an open-air, solar-powered tram with a 45-minute round-trip route. But you can hop on and off to explore the downtown area with all its shops, eateries and pubs.

When you’re ready to stock your gally. Head to the Stuart Green Market. It’s a crowd pleaser from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Sunday. The Stuart City Hall parking lot is magically transformed into a mecca of fresh produce, grass-fed beef, poultry, freshly baked breads and pastries, flowers, honey, handcrafted soaps, and much, much more.

To stretch your land legs, go for a walk on the Riverwalk boardwalk along the St Lucie River, and take in the views, shops, parks and restaurants along the way. If you want to taste the best oysters in Martin County (and who doesn’t?), make a stop at the Stuart Boathouse.  You can sit on their deck, soak in the sun and enjoy a cold drink. Ahhh!

As you can see, a cruise to Stuart Florida, and a stay at the Marriott Hutchinson Island Marina, has everything for you and your crew. From golden sands and crystal-clear waters, to museums, parks, restaurants and even bucking broncos! But please, don’t tell anyone!
