The Annapolis Sailboat Show 2019 is in just a few days and we’re ready to dive back into things. While you’re at the docks, you may catch us checking out these awesome exhibits and events!
First Sail Workshop
Have you ever wanted to learn to sail? Now’s your chance! Sponsored by Annapolis Boat Shows, SailTime, Freedom Boat Club, and American Sailing Association, visitors will have the opportunity to get out on the water with experienced instructors to learn. After a 45-minute run-down, American Sailing Association and SailTime will take you out on a Beneteau First 22 or a Catalina 22 Sport for 90 minutes of on-the-water instruction!
You do have to register in advance, but if you purchase a ticket to First Sail, your admission to the show is free! You’ll also receive a one-year $30 Basic Membership to Boat U.S.
New Products
The exhibitors at the show are sure to impress. They are not only premiering products, but also new services and vessels! From books to paddleboard and propellers, there will be something for everyone to check out. There are 15 new sailboats premiering at the event, all of which are so beautiful and we want them all. If you catch us taking a quick nap off the back of the Beneteau First Yacht 53, just let it happen. See more boats here and products here!
Take the Wheel Interactive Workshop
Take the Wheel is an awesome opportunity for you to test out two sailboats and learn all about design and budget. You’ll get to choose which you take out on the water from four monohulls and four catamarans.
The morning will begin with instruction and seminars from Behan and amie Gifford from SailingTotem, and move onto
lunch with socializing and networking, to a full afternoon of on the water fun! This event is sponsored by Jeanneau and it is definitely going to be a fun time for everyone.
Once again, the grand prize is going to be amazing! Sponsored by The Moorings, one guest will win a 6-night, 7-day charter in the British Virgin Islands on the Moorings 4800 Sailing Catamaran (that can fit up to 8 friends or family)! The second place prize winner will receive a POP Paddleboard in Royal Hawaiian.
