ADAM ZILBERBAUM JOINS SNAG-A-SLIP AS PRESIDENT
Veteran Entrepreneurial Leader to Take the Helm at Annapolis Boating Startup
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND, June, 2019 – Snag-A-Slip, an online boat slip reservation company, today announced that Adam Zilberbaum, founder and former CEO of Parking Panda, has been named President for the company. Mr. Zilberbaum will lead the growing startup as it continues to expand both domestically and internationally.
“It’s an honor to welcome Adam to the Snag-A-Slip family as President,” said Dan Cowens, Founder and CEO of Snag-A-Slip. “His proven track record as an entrepreneurial and business minded technologist, along with his depth of experience in the aggregator space, make him an ideal leader to continue to drive Snag-A-Slip growth. We are ecstatic to welcome Adam to the Snag-A-Slip family, and we look forward to a bright future with him onboard.”
Mr. Zilberbaum brings proven experience in creating and leading companies in the mobility industry and over 15 years in various technology industries.
Most recently, Mr. Zilberbaum was the founder and CEO of Parking Panda, which he grew to over $25M in revenue from its founding in 2011. Under Adam’s leadership as CEO, Parking Panda was able to increase net margin by 50% and increase top-line revenue 2x with no additional headcount. In 2017 Adam led the acquisition of Parking Panda to its largest competitor SpotHero.
“I am thrilled to join the Snag-A-Slip team at this stage in its lifecycle. The experience I garnered through building brands and products in the technology space is directly applicable, and I look forward to growing Snag-A-Slip and continuing to exceed expectations of current and future consumers and marina operators,” Zilberbaum said.
Since launching in 2015, Snag-A-Slip has exploded, representing slips from Canada to the Caribbean, with a mission to encourage boaters to explore the waterways and visit new marinas. Mr. Zilberbaum will translate the company’s business objectives into strategies to expand user base and revenue. In addition, he will capitalize on synergies between related businesses including Oasis Marinas and Marinalife Magazine.
Snag-A-Slip, the market leader, has steadily grown its network and now serves boaters across the U.S. and internationally. Taking cues from the hospitality industry, Snag-A-Slip aims to showcase its marina partners and connect transient boaters with available slips more easily. Website and mobile app users can explore marinas by region, city or marina name and then search for slip availability based on travel dates, length, beam, draw and power requirements. There are no booking fees associated with the service, and the company recently rolled out its Dozen Dock Challenge™, where boaters can earn one free night for every 12 stays. Snag-A-Slip mobile apps are available for free download on the App Store and Google Play.
