Do not believe their website. Docks in disrepair. Restrooms dirty. No pump out. Docking on your own. Totally disappointed.

Lots of work going on but the docks and pilings are in rough safe. Even a 10 knot wind out of the east makes for a very rough night. No one answered the radio when we arrived. Very friendly dock staff that are welcoming. Julie sent us pictures of where we were docking the night before. No good places to walk the dog near the marina but a quarter mile walk over the bridge to downtown has a lot of large parks and beautiful green space.

A quick stop on a warm winter day. We were lucky enough to catch them open (only on Saturdays during winter). Construction ongoing, but friendly folks, clean restroom and ships store. Looks to be a great hang out in warmer weather. Will be back.

This little marina was hit hard by the hurricane in August, but they are working hard to make repairs. The staff was very friendly and the bath house, while simple, was clean and behind a coded/locked door for safety and privacy. If you are looking for luxury this marina isn't for you. But if you want a great price, clean restrooms and helpful staff this is a good stay. Note: they are on winter hours and the store is closed except for Saturday but you can make arrangements through Dockwa or use their advertised text app.

We were told by Lamb's Marina that Pelican Marina was the only place in town with pump out facilities. We called on the phone, but no answer. We arrived on the boat, hoping to contact them on the VHF, but no response. We texted them as requested on their voicemail message. Long after we had given up and left, in fact 26 hours later, they responded that they do not have pump out facilities. Not recommended.

Very nice folks but the place needs a major refit. They are slowly making improvements but not nearly as much as advertising would leave you to believe. Mostly delapidated old boats with live-a-boards that haven't left a dock in years. Did not feel safe. If they don't repair the dock house soon it will collapse into the river.

We stayed there for three days and the staff was very helpful. The showers were nice and clean unlike most of the pricey marinas we have stayed at. You can’t beat the price. We will be back.

Visited 8/22. Staff was friendly but...
Old docks with dirty boats. Junk everywhere, on boats and around the grounds. Junk cars in the lot. I am not sure what updates the new owners have completed but certainty some basic housekeeping is in order.
A Note from the Marina:Marina comments:
We have been working diligently on repairs and much of what you encountered is related to that construction. We had to prioritize our projects and we are in the middle of our fuel install. For a small flat rate we offer clean restrooms, helpful staff, safe dockage, free wifi and a nicely stocked marine supply store. We are continuing our upgrades and appreciate your input.

We made an unexpected stop at Pelican Marina due to bad weather and unexpected mechanical issues. Staff was very helpful in finding someone to assist with repairs and they were able to order parts that arrived the following day. Clean restrooms and bath, ice, got a pump out. Only thing missing is fuel and that is already under construction. Did I mention it was only $35 a night?

Love the feel of this quaint marina. Nothing fancy, but clean restaurant, a helpful staff and a nicely stocked marine supply store. A breath of fresh air after a long journey. The restaurant next door was great as well.

Nice family owned marina conveniently located across the bridge from downtown Elizabeth City. Well stocked store and clean restrooms. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Marina is under renovation with new owners. Nice restaurant next door. Will stop again this fall!
